My father and I touched down in Delhi 3 weeks ago to visit our sister, husband, baby & extended family ; after a quick visit in northern India, we finally touched down humid Cochin exhausted into the very warmest embrace of Neema, Prasad, Olivia & family. What a wonderful historic house, whose dinning table never run out of food. We easily found our way to the highlights of Fort Kochi and beyond- excellent house boat adventure! All meticulously planned & guided through Neema. Many thanks to Neema, Prasad & Olivia....for the greetings, warmth, for attention. It has been most memorable visit.

We will always remember your warm welcome on our first visit to Kerala, in years to come. Originating from Jaffna, SL, it was like coming home for us. We will always treasure our memories of meeting you Neema, Prasad, beautiful Olivia and Grandparents. We were fortunate to witness Mary enter your home for a month's stay. We enjoyed the exquisite Keralan cuisine that you prepared. We are sorry we only stayed one night. We look forward to staying again.

Thanks Neema! Nice, charming, lovely place. Perfect also with kids. Just a shame we spend only 1 night and we did not have the pleasure to taste the dinner. Best Wishes.

The only mistake we made in staying with Neema, Prasad, Olivia & Parents was staying for one night.....next time we will know better! Our first visit to India, our first visit to Kerala and our first visit to homestay.....all of which need to be repeated. A warm and welcoming introduction to the area made us feel at home and comfortable in this beautiful historical building. Regretfully we move on but hold fond memories and full stomach (great cooking) of our short stay at The Bungalow.

Though we cannot for the life of us recall HOW we found The Bungalow on the web,we are so happy that we did.It is the best kept secret in Kerala, that's for sure! From our initial emails with Neema we had a feeling this would be very special place-one that was card for with love and attention.Having stayed here for four lovely, comfortable and cozy nights,we can now attest to Neema's and her family's warmth and care which they showered on us throughout our time with them. It is the perfect place to use as a base for exploring the Fort Cochin area and Neema's knowledge & impeccable recommendations were invaluable as we embarked on different adventures with our two-year-old in tow.The time spent with Neema,Prasad,Olivia & Grand parents was the most special part of our stay.We look forward to continuing our friendship from afar.Oh, how would we forget the sumptuous meals-thank you for wonderful cooking Neema! And for your flexibility in dealing with out sweet Cyrus. We will miss you all.

It was with deep regret that we leave today from our home in Vypeen. Our intrepid hostess, Neema, has not steered us wrong once. Every moment has been a delight. we really enjoyed meeting Prasad, Olivia & Parents. This has been a slice of heaven and from there we went on an overnight houseboat arranged by Neema. It could not have been more wonderful. I agree with those who have come before us that Neema should publish a cook book and astound the world. I will never forget the flavor and genuine hospitality of The Bungalow Homestay. Thank you so much for your welcoming hospitality!
Derek & Esther George 7th - 11th Jan 2010 Vermont, USA

Our stay was short but very sweet! We have had the warmest of welcomes to this lovely home, full of joy in life. We enjoyed learning a bit about the history of the family, past & present. we think you have got your priorities 100% right.....family first, second, third! You have a lovely philosophy and approch to life and it was apleasure to spend an evening with you. Neema- your food is FABULOUS!! We think you should publish a book called "Neema's secret recipes". Thanks for a great stay- we will take fond memories back to UK. Best wishes for 2010 to you all. We hope, you have many more adventures!!
Sue Knottenbelt 02nd - 03rd Jan 2010 West Midlands, UK

I think the most interesting thing about The Bungalow Heritage Homestay is that Neema gives a portion of her intake to Charity. As Neema puts it she has the homestay as a 'way of making friends'. This piece really resonated with us as we've been in India for 6 weeks, shooting a charity documentary on eye disease and what the Shankara Eye Center is doing to help ease the suffering in villages of Tamilnadu. Thank you for making the last few days of our stay in India in a very, very restful one.

So too is your home, hospitality and generosity of time and attention. we particularly enjoyed the cooking class and eating your fabulous cuisine. Can not wait to get home and try out my new skills. Brilliant! Brilliant! We have had most marvelous time, with a family who have opened their home and their heart to us. It has been an absolute privilege to meet Neema, Prasad, Olivia and Mummy & Dady. From the first moment they were friendly, welcoming and full of insights and commentry. We really appreciated getting to understand the nuances of Indian life. And it's always really great to have someone you can ask all those obvious and important questions. And the food! we had a cooking lesson; Chicken MAsala a' la Neema and Fish curry. Superb cuisine and so straight forward, even I could do it! Thank you so much for your wondrful hospitality. We wish you all lots of luck in future. With Fondest of love, Ian & Robin

From our first introduction to to our early morning good bye four days later, we were treated like family. The cooking class were great fun. Rebecca cooked with Neema and I helped by eating. The house is a home with all members of family engaged and kind; Olivia's dancing and stories of her exams made it complete. We wil never forget the smile, the laughter and friendship we enjoyed here.
